First Look: Sushi Café (West Location) Now Open

Sushi Café, a longtime favorite among Little Rock sushi lovers, has a new location at 11211 Cantrell Road (right next to the Tide dry cleaners). “We’ll have a slow opening through Sunday with a full opening set for Monday,” says general manger Robert Tju.
While diners can expect to see a similar menu as its sister Heights location, the new restaurant (seating for 75 people) will also offer a variety of unique menu items like the Fiery Noodles, Spicy Seafood Ramen, Seafood Udon, Breakfast Yakisoba, West Side Fried Rice, along with hibachi specialty entrees, including: Ratchford Farms Arkansas Ribeye, Scottish Salmon, Miso Chilean Seabass, Arkie Yee Haw (Arkansas ribeye and lobster) and Kabuki. Says Tju, “The menu has been slightly streamlined and we will be featuring more of the local meats. We are trying to source locally as much as possible.”
Sushi Café West’s hours of operation will be Monday-Friday, 11AM-2PM for lunch and Monday-Sunday, 5PM to close for dinner service. On Thursday nights (from 5-7PM), select wines are $20 per bottle. In other news, the restaurant plans to bring Chef Shuttle on board within the next 60-90 days, and an outdoor patio should be completed by May 2015.
