First Look: Sunrise Cafe Boutique, Now Open at Pleasant Ridge Town Center

The shoppers at Pleasant Ridge Town Center have a new dining option situated among the many shops and restaurants within this popular stretch of retailers. Sunrise Cafe Boutique opened just over a week ago in the corner shop tucked in between Belk and The Toggery. It’s a small space, hidden for the most part from the drivers on the street. But for those who’ve found it, Sunrise Cafe hopes to provide a welcome stop for tired and hungry shoppers.
We stopped by this past weekend to see what the cafe had to offer. Upon walking in, we were immediately impressed with the sharp, clean, and cozy interior. It’s a space filled with light and color with around a dozed small to medium-sized tables stretching far back into the store, ideal for customers looking to take a load off and enjoy a cup of coffee, a bite of pastry, or a light lunch. A small, curved display case and counter contain all of the cafe’s baked goods and sweets and a few chalkboards above this announce the cafe’s beverage and sandwich options.
The cafe is owned and operated by Martina Casserly who’s determined to bring a bit of her Argentinean heritage to Little Rock through Sunrise Cafe Boutique. This means they’re offering breakfast and lunch options you may not commonly find at other shops around the city.
With around seven unique hot beverage options, customers will find Sunrise a nice place to wake up to in the morning and settle down with a book, newspaper, or lap top. Choices include cafe latte, cafe Americano, cappuccino, cafe mocha, and latte macchiato. There’s also hot chocolate and hot tea.
From the savory side, Sunrise Cafe features chicken or salmon salad, four simple sandwiches (salmon, chicken, ham, and brie), quiche, and a few meat empanadas. Lastly, several elegant pastries are sure to catch the eye of most visitors—brownies, cheesecakes, apple crumble, muffins, fruit tarts, and some South American options such as alfajores (a small, crunchy sandwich cookie) and havannets (an Argentinian cookie topped with a cone of dulce de deche, dipped in chocolate).
Next time you’re in the area, swing by and see for yourself what Sunrise Cafe Boutique is serving up. Hours are Monday thru Saturday 7 am to 7 pm. Sunday 9 am to 7 pm. They’re located at 11525 Cantrell Rd, Space 407, Little Rock. Follow them on Facebook here.
