Celebrate Late Night Cravings With South On Main’s New Bar Menu

How many times have you caught yourself at the bar, desperately needing food, only to discover that it’s past dinner service? Whether you finished up a show at The Rep, The Studio Theatre, or South On Main’s stage, you might want a quick bite before you head in.
Thankfully you can now bolster up a bit at South on Main’s inviting bar.
Executive Chef Matthew Bell noticed that there was a need for late night food, and while he and his team have been ad-libbing a menu, he finally decided it was time to solidify it.
From Alligator Boudin to Street Tacos and Pimento Poutine Fries to a Savory Brisket Melt, there is a little something for every type of craving that could possibly hit you whether you’ve been steadily drinking or not. Plus, foodies can rejoice – Bell is really letting his creativity run wild while still providing dishes that match South on Main’s regular caliber.

“It’s been so much fun to create and to put some things together that we wouldn’t necessarily have on our lunch and dinner menus,” says Bell, “I’ve really enjoyed getting creative with the dishes.”
When you get a chance to go, take a tip from the pros and be sure to order an assortment to share.
Do start with the Street Tacos. The real kicker is the Ghost Pepper Sauce which will literally knock your socks off. For a Cajun flavor splash – order the Alligator Boudin. It’s savory, spicy, and exactly what the doctor ordered.
And while cheesy fries are a fun comfort food – Bell adds a touch to his with a Waffle Fry base and some delicious pimento cheese that’ll definitely stick to your ribs.
The brisket melt is smokingly tender and will soak up just enough so you can avoid the hair-of-the-dog remedy the next day.
Don’t take our word for it – peruse the menu below and then head in to check it out yourself.
