At The Corner Embraces Summer With New Seasonal Menu

In Rock City, you can measure whether it’s truly summer by what local restaurants are cooking up and putting on the table. At the Corner, downtown’s favorite modern diner, is no stranger to seasonal menus, and for their latest round, they’re pulling out all the stops.
Think more veggie-friendly options, a completely Southern take on everyone’s favorite Poutine, plus new side items, and you’ve got the gist of the latest menu make-over.
Executive Chef Kamiya Merrick is excited for the new menu – “It’s light and fresh and definitely represents the spring going into summer. I think that we’ve made a lot of new relationships with local farms, and we were really inspired by their produce.”
The freshness is exhibited throughout, but veggie-lovers will be ecstatic to see the introduction of some core items including the Cream Cheese & Cucumber Veggie Sandwich and the Halloumi Burger.

Merrick says, “We tried to focus on vegetarian options with this menu – we tried to have something solid for breakfast and lunch.”
Think herbed cream cheese, fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, and avocado together atop local bread for the cucumber sandwich. Think of a seared Halloumi patty with caramelized tomatoes, spinach, balsamic reduction and jalapeño mint jelly if you’re wanting something more substantial.
When it comes to sides, At The Corner has the usual fixings – fries and chips. However, they’ve stepped up their game this go-round, offering Veggies and Hummus, Pimento Cheese, and a Marinated Tomato Salad.Co-owner Helen Grace King explains, “I think the importance of these sides is just to reiterate to people that we’re not a fried food only restaurant. I think a lot of time people walk by because they think fried, fried, fried […] but the thing is I think we have some of the most beautiful salads and sides in downtown Little Rock.”
Speaking of salads, At The Corner salad fans will mourn the loss of the Sweet Potato Salad, however the team has created the Turkey Cobb as a stand-in. With mixed greens, roasted turkey, turkey bacon, ricotta, spiced pecans, avocado, and dried berries this is definitely flavorful keeper. The turkey bacon is smoked and cured in-house by Sous Chef Christopher Busick.
In fact, the team does as much as they can in-house, including making Canadian Bacon and House Smoked Pulled Pork. They also grind their own Turkey Burgers and Hamburgers.

If you want something a little heavier but not short on flavor, opt for the Pulled Pork Sammy. It’s a beast with bacon, tomatoes, pimento cheese, and BBQ sauce. King says, “We’ve had pulled pork before. This time people are just so curious and intrigued and excited to try it.”
Trust us, you’ll be glad you did.
Don’t skip At The Corner for Weekday Breakfast. Brunch is always party, but you can slide the diner into your weekday routine – and you’ll especially want to make plans to do so to try their fan-favorite Avocado Toast topped with a sunny up egg and fresh fruit. Plus, for a solid messy breakfast sandwich there arguably isn’t anywhere better to grab one in the Rock.
However, if you haven’t made Father’s Day plans, head to At The Corner to enjoy a special brunch for Dad happening this Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Word on the street is that they’ll be debuting a brunch charcuterie board.
Make breakfast, lunch, and brunch plans to check out this adorable eatery for yourself. Can’t get enough? They also cater.
