The restaurant world is always changing, and staff are always on the move. We try to keep up with those moves in our semi-regular Transitions.
Liv Thompson – Liv, previously of Raduno, is now at Three Fold’s new location. You can usually catch her on the back doing the noodles, and she seems to be fitting in well with the Three Fold team. “I get to learn a whole new cuisine. I’m super excited about the simplicity and depth of what the food and learning the technique,” Liv says.
Jordan Wine – Honey Pies alumn Jordan Wine has ventured off on her own to start Southern Cake Co.. The bakery concept looks like it is turning out some great looking cakes and desserts. She is currently providing macarons and other treats to Heights Corner Market. Look for her product around or hit her up with special orders.
Mindy Mitchell – Mindy is going back to her roots finally as a cajun/creole chef in her new position as the executive chef at The Faded Rose. She is working around the kitchen and will also be helping with caterings. “I am glad to be back cooking food I love and grew up on. Plus the David family is wonderful to work with, this is a great spot for me,” Mindy says.
Lee Ingold – In bittersweet news, Lee Ingold is moving out of market to take on a big position with Coury Hospitality Group in Oklahoma City. Lee is a Little Rock icon in fine dining, working with the Capital Hotel and most recently Cache. “I will miss my adopted home town of Little Rock. The chance to work for the the Stephens and Harding families has been rewarding and I’ve met so many wonderful people through my association at the Capital Hotel and at Cache. Cache, in particular, has grown a lot during my 15 month tenure and I’m proud of the strides we’ve made there,” Lee says.
James Kimball – James is the new kitchen manager for Stickyz. James has been around the food scene, including the past couple of years in Little Rock. Should be a great addition to the Stickyz team.
Monica Chatterton – Monica is the new dinner pastry chef at The Root, taking over for Sara Slimp who recently left to work for the Clinton Center in a non-culinary role. Monica will be in charge of the desserts at the Root for their always impressive, but way under-rated, dinner program.
