If you spend much time in Northwest Arkansas or any time talking to beer heads around the state, one thing you will find quickly is that Ozark Beer Co. produces some of the best, most beloved beer in the state.
The Roger’s based brewery has been a NWA only affair since opening, but now they are ready to expand their reach into Little Rock as well as Fort Smith starting this week.
“I’m excited about the growth of the craft beer industry within the state, and I’m really excited to be a part of it.” Jefferson Baldwin, co-owner and director of sales for Ozark Beer Co. says. “My roots are from Central Arkansas, so I’m especially proud of that, to share our passion for good beer with the place that I grew up.”
Ozark Beer Co will be distributed by Central and Moon Distributors of Little Rock and they expect the first few cases to arrive in the Rock today.
“We pride ourselves on our customer service in Northwest Arkansas, and we feel that Central and Moon can offer the same high level of customer service in Central Arkansas,” says owner and head brewer Andy Coates, “their customer service side is staffed with genuine people.”
This agreement and further distribution comes as part of the brewery’s continued growth in Northwest Arkansas. The brewery has recently hired its third full time, professional brewer. Equipment upgrades and installations, expanded water access and investments in man-power have put Ozark Beer Co. in the position to package more beer and send it further.
“Arkansas is special, and we’re fortunate our beer is arriving in such an engaged craft beer scene,” says marketing director Marty Shutter. “Little Rock is a vibrant city where people already demand high quality. Beginning to share what we’ve built up here in Rogers is deeply satisfying.”
Ozark will distribute cans of their American Pale Ale, Cream Stout and Belgian Golden Ale. No word yet on local restaurants and bars picking up Ozark on tap, but do not be surprised to see it showing up soon.
