Don’t let the heat keep you from enjoying an ice-cold pint or two. Stone’s Throw Brewing has released a new seasonal menu, and even the darker and heavier options are guaranteed to cool you down.
Whether you’ve just finished a long day at Kick Ball or a want to catch up with friends, the brewery is a great space to do it. You can sit outside in the biergarten or enjoy a pint in the expanded taproom space.
Check out the following below, mark your favorite, and head over to the corner of Rock and 9th Streets to give them all a try.
First up, if you haven’t had the Ich Bin Ein Berliner Weisse, you’ll want to grab one when you head to the patio as it’s a great summer option with a lower alcohol content. It’s more tart than a traditional Berliner Weisse, but the wheat balances out the flavor profile.
“Both lower alcohol and sour beers have been growing in popularity in the craft beer world. Ich Bin Ein Berliner Weisse is a great combination of these two trends, and the perfect patio beer,”says Ian Beard, Managing Partner. “We’re excited to try the Pink House syrups out this year. The different flavor combinations will make this a great go to summer sipper.”
The Papa Geyer’s Imperial Pilsner is not for the faint of heart. Its name comes from a beer hall and garden located at 10th and Rock streets in the heart of Little Rock’s German community before Prohibition. “When we found out that an old German biergarten was located at Rock and 10th streets just a block away, we figured it was a sign from the beer gods that this was the neighborhood to be in. Naming a beer after the post was the least we could do,” says Shawn Tobin, Partner.
The 9 percent ABV is not a joke, and you’ll want to sip slowly on this one.
The Two-Timin’ American IPA returns, as is good as ever. Think hoppy, yet approachable. You can’t miss the Centennial hops in the brew, but your taste buds won’t mind.
