Rumbles: Pizza is Getting Very Close to Happening at Capeo

We have an update on the new pizzeria inside Capeo. This from Chef Eric Isaac: “We are almost done with the construction. The oven was delivered last week, and we will start the curing process tomorrow. If all goes well we should be open for lunch and start the pizza menu on Monday, June 15.” For those counting, that’s less than three weeks.

Soul Sonic Sunday Brunch is this Sunday, May 31 at Piro Brick Oven & Barroom. “Michael Shaeffer with KABF & Maladjusted radio will be spinning soulful jams live from 12 pm.-. 3 p.m. In addition, we will have $3.50 Mimosas, $3.50 Bloody Mary’s, fresh fruit and herbal mock/cocktails, and $1 OFF ALL TAPS! Capeo’s next 3-course wine dinner is set for June 8 at 6:30 p.m. and features Clams and Mussels Steamed in Seafood Broth and Tomatoes with Rustic Grilled Bread (Santa Christina Orvieto), Gnocchi Tossed in a Meaty Ragu Bolognese (Tormaresca Primitivo), Herbed Beef Tenderloin with a Gorgonzola Cheese Sauce and Crispy Fried Potatoes (Santa Christina Chianti Classico). Opening night for Trio’s Spring Art Series is Thursday, May 28 from 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m. Light hor d’oeuvres will be served with a cash bar available. Dinner reservations are also suggested.

The 4th Annual Pig Party on the River will be on May 28 from 5-8 p.m. at the Downtown Riverside RV Park. This will include a hog roasting, a Baggo Tournament and music. Cash prizes will be awarded to winners of the Baggo Tournament ($10 Admission/$10 Baggo entry fee).
