Rumbles: Eat My Catfish Expands to Little Rock, El Cubano Loco Closes, Bell’s Brewing Comes to the Rock, and more

Benton based Eat My Catfish is adding a Little Rock location. The new spot will be at 10301 N Rodney Parham Rd, the former location of Barbara Graves, directly in front of the Breckenridge Theatre. Eat My Catfish started off as a food truck in 2008. In January of 2012 owner Travis Hester opened their first brick & mortar location in Benton, and then their second in Conway in 2013.  The new restaurant is expected to open in June of 2016.

Our favorite charity dinner, No Kid Hungry, is holding a dinner in Bentonville July 18th at the Hive. These dinners fill up fast, so we wanted to call it out a bit more. These are really outstanding dinners and for a great cause. The dinner features multiple courses prepared by award winning chefs. On deck for the Bentonville dinner is Rob Newton (Nightingale Nine) – Brooklyn, NY, Matt Bell (South On Main), Travis McConnell (Bentonville, butcher and deli), Luke Wetzel (Oven & Tap), and Matt McClure (Hive).

Cuban food truck El Cubano Loco is calling it quits. The owners cited personal reasons that prevented them from continuing to operate the truck. They opened last September and quickly grew a following in the food truck scene.

Bell’s Brewery is now available in Little Rock. The famed Michigan based craft brewery has been high on the list of desired breweries to come to the state for many beer fans. If you want to get your hands on some first, O’Looney’s is offering special prices on pre-orders that will deliver April 25th, and Big Orange Midtown is hosting a tap takeover on the 26th.
