Get to Know: Boudreaux’s Grill & Bar, Maumelle’s Answer to Cajun Cookin’

After a recent trip to New Orleans ignited my love for their unique cuisine, it has fueled a mission to find a local place that could satisfy my inner Cajun. Look no further than Boudreaux’s Bar & Grill in North Little Rock.
Already a neighborhood go-to spot for the past eight years, Boudreaux’s Grill & Bar was bought a year ago by the Cunningham family, who previously owned and operated Pizza Inn franchises in the area.
The menu, executed since day one by Roy, has not changed so much under new management with the exception of pizzas, many with a Cajun kick. Co-owner Niko Cunningham said the pizzas were added to the menu to ‘try something different that was fun while diversifying the menu but providing the tastes of Cajun cuisine.’
Some of my favorite Cajun-inspired menu items include Shrimp Martini, Cheesy Garlic Grits topped with Étouffée and Four Blackened Shrimp, Gator Bait Pizza made with Remoulade Sauce and Mozzarella Cheese topped with Blackened Gator, Onions and Green Peppers and Catfish Po’ Boys (Blackened, Fried or Grilled) served with Jalapeno Mayo.  The Shrimp Martini is your answer to an appetizer-sized portion of their étouffée!
The Cajun Trio, a trifecta of Jambalaya, Gumbo and Red Beans and Rice, served with Hot Water Cornbread, is an easy answer if you are craving all three.  New Orleans-style drinks, such as the Blue Bayou made with Rum, Blue Curacao and Pineapple Juice pleases the palate. Crawfish Boils occur every Saturday during crawfish season (usually late winter through mid-summer). Laissez les bons temps roulez!
If Cajun cuisine isn’t your cup ‘o tea, they have killer Bar Munchies and Signature Burgers, such as the Thibodeaux Burger,  an 8 oz. Grilled Beef  Patty served with Leaf Lettuce, Red Onion and Tomato on a Gourmet Bun, slightly sweet, giving this burger a one-of-a-kind taste.
This kid-friendly bar and grill with a game room and plenty of TV’s for game-day watch parties including drink specials truly is a place for “Good Food, Good Drinks, Good Friends…Your Neighborhood Grill & Bar!”
Boudreaux’s Grill & Bar, located at 9811 Maumelle Boulevard, is open daily Sunday through Thursday    11 AM to 10 PM and Friday through Saturday from 11 AM to 11 PM.
