Cupcakes for Goodness Sake Makes Supporting a Great Cause Sweeter Than Ever

There are tons of fundraising events this time of year, more than we can keep up with most days. However, the 4th annual Cupcakes for Goodness Sake going on this Saturday in Argenta might be the sweetest way to give back to the community of them all.
The event supports Carelink, which provides services, meals, and advocacy for the elderly community in Central Arkansas. Their biggest and most visible program is Meals on Wheels which provides meals for homebound seniors.
The Theme of this year’s event is State Fair, so expect lots of fair themed activities for the kids and decorations throughout the event.
This year’s events 5 professional cupcake teams and 11 amateurs all showcasing their cupcake skills and competing against each other in their category. All the cupcakes are available to sample with the cost of admission, and attendees can vote on their favorites.

Professional teams include Cathead’s Diner, Blue Cake Co., Stephanie Fowler, Jame Confection, and Harper Cake Co.
Along with the cupcakes, they will have a number of art activities for the kids, beer for purchase for the adults having to deal with sugared up kids, a temporary tattoo stand to make bad decisions that thankfully rub off later, food trucks, and several vendors. A full map of the festival along with all the stations is listed below.
The event runs from 4-7 October 6th (this Saturday). Tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for kids, and kids under 6 get in free. Better yet you can order online today ahead of the event and get $2 off each ticket. All tickets include cupcake tastings, milk, water, and coffee. Beer and food trucks items are available for purchase.
