Breaking News: The Southern Gourmasian Set to Open

The day is finally here! Well … almost. The much anticipated brick-and-mortar of Little Rock’s most popular food truck, The Southern Gourmasian, is set to open on Friday, February 27 at 11:00 a.m. for lunch.
“We are so excited to finally open the new space to the public,” owner Justin Patterson tells us. “We love serving food, and after months of building, we are glad to get back to what we love.”
The new restaurant is an order-at-the-counter establishment, with the menu posted on a wall near the register. You place your order, grab your preferred beverage and utensils, and take a seat. They’ll bring your food out to you shortly.
The menu at this brick-and-mortar version of The Southern Gourmasian does not stray too far from the truck’s earlier menu and other other menu’s Patterson has prepared for various special functions, like his numerous beer dinners at Stone’s Throw Brewery. You’ll find their always popular and always fantastic chicken and dumplings, a new ramen bowl with pork shoulder, soft boiled egg, their classic steamed buns (with pork shoulder, chicken, or beef short rib), and a handful of sandwiches including their excellent “Grilled Kimcheese” (with kimchi, of course), almond crusted chicken, and and slow roasted pork shoulder. You can also expect several specials and new menu items to be added over time.
You can check out the beautiful interior from our First Look a few weeks back.
The Southern Gourmasian is located downtown at 219 W. Capitol. Friday’s open, as well as the first week, will be lunch service only. The regular hours will be open M-F from 11 am – 9 pm, and on Saturdays 10 am – 9 pm.
